General Message - DRIVEWAY ALARMS - I have recently bulk purchased 50 driveway alarms, comprising a driveway sensor and separate audible alarm, with a wireless up to 400' range. I have one and it works from the bottom of my 200' garden. These were £12.50 but because of the manufacturers special offer I'm able to sell them at £8.They are available on a first come first served basis and can be picked up from your nearest police station to save postage. 20/12/05 There has been 1 damage to a vehicle and 1 other both in Litcham.
12/12/05 There has been a burglary at a nursery in Fakenham Road, Hoe where the front roller doors were first attacked then the rear fire door was smashed open and the electricity cut.
In Elsing Road, Lyng a hole was cut in the petrol tank of a VW polo and petrol removed. In Rectory Road, Whissonsett a ford maverick index M818 HWK was stolen.
In West Lexham 2 chainsaws were stolen when the owner went to get some petrol. Aluminium was stolen from a field in Sandy Lane, East Tuddenham. There was 1 damage to a dwelling and 1 to a vehicle.
7/12/5 There has been a domestic burglary in Burghwood Close, Mileham where £1100 worth of property was stolen including a red vauxhall astra index K409 WCP. In Halls Drive Gressenhall a tax disc was stolen from an insecure vehicle. Diesel was stolen from a farm in Gateley. Property was removed from a trailer whilst it was unattended on the social club car park at Gressenhall Fencing and a hydraulic jack were stolen from Reed Lane, Stanfield. There was 1 damage to a vehicle.

November 05
29/11/5 There has been 1 damage to buildings in Litcham and 2 others in North Elmham and Swanton Morley.
21/11/05 There has been a domestic burglary in Oxwick Road, Horningtoft at 7:54pm on the 17th where 2 side windows were forced but no entry gained.
In Stacey Road Whissonsett on the 15th a male in a black hoodie was seen stealing lights off a vehicle . Two oak gates and posts were stolen from the Broom East Bilney.
Turkey feed was stolen from Back Lane Stanfield. There was 1 damage to a vehicle in Rougham.
15/11/05 There has been a wheelie bin stolen from Chapel Lane, Hockering. A war grave head stone was stolen from Town Street, Swanton Morley, between 1/10 and 12/11. There was 1 damage to a vehicle and 1 other.

October 05
16/10/05 There has been 1 domestic burglary where insecure premises in Halls Drive, Gressenhall were entered and cash was stolen, between 0900 on the 12th and 0830 on the 14th.
In Herne Lane, Beeston a main gate padlock was levered and a workshop side door forced and tools stolen.
A shed was broken into in Wellingham Road, Litcham and 2 motorcycles and tools were stolen.
A wheelie bin was stolen from Rougholme Close, Gressenhall.

03/10/05 There has been a shed break in Arundel Close, Gressenhall, where a lock was levered off a shed and a motor cycle and other items stolen.
In The Street, Lyng a water treatment plant was entered and an angle grinder stolen from a container after a padlock was smashed off.
Diesel from quarry vehicles was stolen from Read Lane, Bittering.
05/10/05 A 27 year old man will appear today at Kings Lynn magistrates court charged with the murder of a 31 year old man, both from Thetford.
Another 22 year old man is currently on bail

26/09/05 There has been the theft of a burgandy coloured Mitsubishi Pajero index K449 MCL from Eastgate Street, North Elmham and damage at the North Elmham County School railway station.
General Message 19/09/05 Bogus Water Board Officials have been operating in Suffolk and may be heading our way. Yellow pages are being distibuted, so if there's one on your neighbours doorstep and they're away, please move it. Disability equipment is being sold on markets and car boot sales. Purchasing such equipment could leave the buyer with no consumer rights and the items may be faulty and dangerous. Have you seen traders selling such equipment? They will micro chip for free for OAPs and retired peoples dogs In the event of your death, if no one else can take care of the dog, they willtake it in and re home it. 12/09/05 There has been damage to the playhouse at the Jubilee Hall, Church Street, Litcham, and 1 damage to a dwelling and 3 others.
05/09/05 there has been a burglary in Saxon Meadows, Bawdeswell where entry was through an enclosed rear garden, then used garden furniture to reach a first floor insecure window. Exit was through the conservatory taking the keys to this and the back door. In Cathedral Drive, North Elmham a rear windscreen was removed from a vehicle and tools stolen. Diesel was stolen from lorries in Mileham. Wheelie bins were stolen from Low Road, and Wendling Road Longham . A vehicle was interfered with in Weasenham Road, Litcham.

General Message 23/08/05 Please be aware that forged £20 notes are circulating in the Attleborough area which means they could also be in your area.
Burglary at Oxwick - The burglary took place between 1030 and 1135 am on Tuesday 10th August, a rear bedroom window was forced and jewelery and a camera were stolen. Police are keen to trace a man seen in Colkirk the same day calling on houses for gardening work. He is described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old about 5'7" tall, large build with short black gelled hair. He had facial hair, including a beard and was wearing black trousers and shoes and a white short sleeve shirt with a distinctive grey boomerang pattern or similar, all over. 22/08/05 There has been diesel and a tool box stolen from a bowser at Mileham on the Tivetshall road, and 1 damage to a dwelling in Drury Square, Beeston.
15/08/05 there have been no domestic burglaries, or shed or garage breaks.No vehicles have been broken into or stolen.Nothing was stolen after a container was broken into in Mill Lane Hockering. There was 1 damage to a vehicle and 1 other.

General Message 26/07/05 There are groups of people in our area offering gardening and building work. Please warn your neighbours, especially the elderly, not to involve themselves with these people as they are likely to be ripped off by them. Please inform trading standards of any information you may have, as they collate this.
25/07/05 Tools worth £1810 were stolen from insecure sheds on a farm at North Tuddenham. There were 2 damages to vehicles in Orchard Close, North Elmham.
18/07/05 No vehicles have been broken into or stolen. An electric fence generator was stolen from Bushy Common, Gressenhall, and a black shetland pony from Reed Lane, Stanfield. There were 2 damages to vehicles.
11/07/05 there has been an attempted break in Chapel Lane, Hockering In Low Road North Tuddenham a householder returned to find a man had broken into his shed and had loaded up his tools. The vehicle was a red vauxhall cavalier index F547 NPF. In Greengate, Swanton Morley a handbag left in a vehicle overnight was stolen after the window was smashed. In The Street, Lyng a van door lock was forced. 2 washing lines were set fire to in Cubitts Close, Bintree. There was 1 damage to a dwelling and 2 others.
04/07/05 In Hockering in Lily Avenue a shed window was forced and a strimmer stolen, and a red vauxhall K890 JNG was stolen from the A47, 3 were arrested for this. In Main Road, North Tuddenham there was a forced entry to premises being renovated and tools were stolen. In North Elmham, in Eastgate Street a cycle was stolen and 2 vehicles damaged, and another vehicle damaged in Station Road, North Elmham.
June 05
27/6/5 Nearly all the crime for the area was in North Elmham. A phone was stolen from an insecure vehicle in a field . Riding tack and an electric fence were stolen from a farm field in Billingford Road, and there was an attempt to steal a cycle from a lean to in Station Road. There were 3 criminal damages to vehicles all in Eastgate Street.
20/6/5 In Fakenham Road, East Bilney, there was a failed attempt to unsrew and rip a shed door off. In Hall Road, Beetley a shed window was smashed and a strimmer stolen. A screw driver from the shed was then used in a failed attempt on another door. A hose pipe was stolen from Gateley Road, Brisley. A pair of 5 bar gates were stolen from Mattishall Lane, Hockering. There were 2 damages other.
13/6/5 In Thompson Close, Swanton Morley a front number plate was stolen from a vehicle index T162 JKJ. Diesel was stolen from a quarry at Beetley.
6/6/5 In Festival Road, Billingford a tax disc was stolen from an insecure vehicle. In Crown Road Colkirk a bird bath was stolen from a garden and found smashed up the road. In Dereham Road, Colkirk 4 solar lights were stolen. 2 were later recovered. A male in a blue ford escort was believed responsible for a lawn mower theft in Hockering. In Horningtoft a riding club van was stolen from a field after a gate padlock was cut. Fencing was stolen from Litcham common. A wheelie bin was stolen from Wood Drive Beetley. In Castle Acre Road, Great Dunham a farm lean to was set alight. There was 1 damage other in Litcham.
May 05
30/5/5 A vehicle was broken into in Hockering and a generator stolen. Keys left in a vehicle in the Green Weasenham were stolen. A wheelie bin was stolen from Greengate Swanton Morley. There were 3 damages to vehicles and 2 others.
23/5/5 A honda generator was stolen from a shed which was forced, in a field in Hockering. A cycle was stolen from Paradise Road in Bawdeswell. A bag was stolen from a motor cycle in a driveway in Mill Road, Bintree. Harness equipment value £900 was stolen from Weasenham Woods. At the Gressenhall rural life museum 3 wooden sheds were set alight and several sacks of grain were slashed open with a knife. The village hall in Manns Lane Swanton Morley was damaged. 1 vehicle was damaged in Great Dunham.
16/5/5 In Elsing Road Lyng property was stolen from an insecure garage and a trailer from the driveway. A vehicle was stolen from the MOD at Swanton Morley but later recovered. There was 1 damage other
9/5/5 No vehicles were broken into or stolen. There was 1 damage other.Since 2/5/5 In Meadow Close Narborough a CD player was stolen from an insecure vehicle. In the forestry a mobile phone left by the gear stick in an unlocked vehicle was stolen. Near Narborough caravan park a broken down car was stolen. It was a grey peugot 405 index J315 TDU. There were 2 damages to dwellings and 2 to vehicles.

7/3/5 A wheelie bin was stolen from Brisley. External lights were stolen from a house in Dodma Road, Weasenham. An electric fence energiser was stolen from School Road, Brisley. There were 2 damages to vehicles and 1 other.March 8th 2005 This is a general Home Watch message from Colin Hodge. Bogus callers are active again with 10 people believed to be active in the Yarmouth area. Don't be complacent. They could be in your area now. They are using a navy blue mini bus on an S plate. They stay at local hotels.

Since 21/2/5 In Palgrave Road Great Dunham an up and over garage door was levered. A second door was tried and failed then entry was gained through a side door. Nothing believed stolen. In Sandy Lane East Tuddenham farm outbuildings were entered after a padlock was smashed. Tools and machinery were stolen. A wheelie bin was stolen from Cubitts Close, Bintree. There was an attempt to steal a digger from a farm in East Bilney. A vehicle was damaged in Billingford Road, North Elmham and there was 1 damage other in Hockering
Since 14/2/5 300 litres of heating oil were stolen from Town Street Swanton Morley. There was 1 vehicle damaged in Billingford Road, North Elmham.
Since 7/2/5 There has been 1 domestic burglary in The Street, Mileham where a window was forced and property stolen. In School Road, Brisley an electric fence transformer was stolen. There was 1 damage to vehicles.
2/2/5 There is at the moment in Swaffham an alarm company probably called European Environmental Controls Ltd. or EEC. They generally target the elderly with a pleasant introduction by phone and try to make an appointment for someone to call. They will then hard sell alarm systems and other unnecessary security at inflated prices. Please warn your members to have nothing to do with them or any other cold calling companies. Any security advice can be obtained from me. It will be free and unbiased with only genuine companies and products recommended.
January 05
Since 31/1/5 There has been 1 domestic burglary in Church Street, Litcham, where a key was pushed out of its lock and retrieved through the cat flap and £6750 worth of property was stolen. There was 1 damage to a vehicle in Heath Road, Hockering.
Please be aware that yellow pages wil be delivered from 1/2/5 for about 3 weeks. There will be the odd time when they will be left on doorsteps. If you can take away the directory and give it to your neighbour when you know they will be in, this may prevent a burglary. Thanks.
Since 24/1/5 There have been 2 domestic burglaries. In Holt Road, North Elmham a rear kitchen window was forced and property to the value of £5550 was stolen. Exit through the rear door was easy, as the key was still in it. In Fairholme New Road, Stanfield several items were stolen from a garden shed and garage in the last 2 weeks. Jewellery was stolen from a caravan which is temporary accomodation whilst a house is being built. Heating oil was stolen from domestic premises in Hoe. A horse blanket was stolen from stables in North Elmham. A £7700 generator was stolen from Station Road, North Elmham.
17/1/5 A rotavator was stolen from an open building in Heath Road Hockering. 1200 litres of heating oil were stolen from a back garden in East Bilney. A wheelie bin was stolen from Hoe Road, Longham. 3 wheelie bins were stolen from The Street in Lyng. There were 2 damages other.
10/1/5 A vehicle was broken into in Manns Lane, Swanton Morley. 2 field gates were stolen from Common Road, East Tuddenham. There were no damages.
