Present:
Mike Oldfield (Chairman), Tim Angell, Carol Hilton, John Relph (Clerk)
1) Apologies Mark Sheard was away on business
his place was taken by Tim Angell.
2) Declarations of Interest No declaration were
received.
3) The council then considered the Planning application
No.3PL/2005/0905/F Primrose House Mileham Rd.
A letter from Mr. Adrian Richard, who live in the central part
of the old rectory (the same building as Primrose House) was read
and discussed by the Council.
Council resolved that while it had no objection to the proposed
development going ahead it wished to make the following observations
: -
1) As the development was in the village 'Conservation Area' it wished to ensure that a conservation officer would be consulted.
2) That all material used would match as far as possible those used in the existing structure, most notable the roof-tiles.
3) With regard to the letter from Adrian Richards of "The Rectory" (enclosed), the Council decided that it had no strong feelings either-way as to the finish of the Mileham Rd. (northern) aspect of the development but agreed that viewed from the garden it would be preferable to finish the new (south-facing) wall in red brick to better balance the view.
4) The meeting Closed at 08.10pm.
Agreed by resolution of the Council on 18th July 2005 to be
a true record of the meeting held on 4th July 2005
